DDS to BMP
- Step 1: Add your DDS file or multiple DDS files using the upload box on the left or drag and drop. You can queue up to 20 images at once. To rescale, open the settings below and enter the desired width and height before converting.
- Step 2: The conversion starts automatically. Converter App decodes common DDS formats, including DXT and BC compression and mipmaps, and renders the main image as a standard BMP. Note: BMP does not keep transparency, so any alpha in your DDS will be flattened to a solid image. If your DDS contains multiple mip levels, the base level is used.
- Step 3: When the process finishes, click Download to get your BMP. If you uploaded more than one file, you will receive a ZIP containing all results.
You can upload up to 20 images at once. Large files are welcome. No daily limits; fair use applies. Multiple results are delivered as a ZIP.

Keep one dimension on 'Auto' to prevent stretching. Choose 100 for maximum detail, or 85–95 for the best mix of visual quality and a smaller file size.
