How to open a HEIC file?
Since the HEIC format was introduced by Apple all applications created and supported by Apple will open HEIC files. Applications such as iMovie and Photos will be able to open HEIC files. Other programs like Adobe Photoshop will be able to open HEIC files only on Mac. While on Windows, you can select which application to open the HEIC file by right-clicking and selecting the "Open with photos" option. You might have to install the HEIF image extensions before doing so. Another good way of viewing HEIC images is converting them to another format.
