What is the AI Image format?
AI is short for Adobe illustration. It is a graphic file format and a file extension that is primarily a native file format known as PGF. It was created by the Adobe systems and an artwork file with vector-based graphics which are often contained in a single page. AI’s file content be used broadly due to its graphic’s capacity to retain details at a high zoom level. Print media and logos are the common places for AI Images. AI files are pretty much like the EPS files only that they have syntax compact and are restricted. There is additional semantics that is also represented by an illustrator-specific DSC comment which fits the DSC’s open design conventions. As stated above the file is identical to the illustrator EPS, but the EPS procedure sets are not included in it. Instead, it is externally referenced with the use of “%” in directives.
